Why Nobody Cares About Item Upgrades

World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a key element of enhancing your character. Upgrades increase the base damage as well as the enchantments of items.

They also provide bonuses and improvements. They are available through the Blacksmith.

Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the gauge for upgrading.

Weapon

When the weapon is upgraded it will gain an initial damage bonus and a scaling factor that influences other stats. Some upgrade components have cosmetic effects, while others offer additional features. These upgrades can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets and gathering tools. Most require that the equipment have an available upgrade slot and meet certain requirements. Once a weapon or armor piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, it can be upgraded with a different one, but the previous upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). Upgrade components can be found by using the Black Lion Salvage Kit Ascended Salvage tool, or a higher-tier salvaging tool that is attached to an item.

In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded with a Calibration Attribute that improves certain stats like Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is done through the Gear Workbench interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.

Once the weapon has reached max upgrade, it can be reforged with a number of different upgrade types to improve specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be used simultaneously and the effects differ based on how rare the weapon is.

There are two Blacksmiths in the game that can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. The upgrade materials are both different: Smithing Stones to modify the type of damage that weapon does and Somber Smithing Stones to modify the standard weapons.

In general, it's best to upgrade your weapon damage first. Then you can increase your armour defense and finally, the secondary stats that are required by your build. In particular, it is common to see melee druids enhancing their weapon before any other gear, because it will increase DPS. This is especially applicable to enchantments, which can be very efficient in increasing the weapon's damage and other stats.

Armor

Item upgrades allow players to boost the performance of certain armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools. These upgrades may also provide additional effects, like additional damage or a cosmetic enhancement. Item upgrades can be obtained through crafting, buying from NPC vendors, in loot drops or as rewards from quests.

The armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currency. The majority of armor upgrades to the next level after an upgrade. This is the case for most types of armor, though certain types of armor cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).

The majority of armor upgrades boost the strength or defense of an item by just a little. However, certain upgrade components can give significant enhancements to strength or defense, particularly when upgrading an epic item.

In addition to enhancing the defense base of an item, a few upgrades also offer specific abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor. These abilities can prove beneficial in combat. For example they can boost the speed of attack or block.  item upgrades  provide effect that are passive and can be useful, such as decreasing damage when wearing armor or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.

Upgrades to armor may require multiple attempts, based on the type of armor. For example for instance, if a player wants to upgrade the strength of a Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt would result in a new piece of Dragonscale with the base defense of 59 and 67. The second attempt will result in the creation of a Dragonscale armor that has a base defense of between 67-77.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do so it is necessary to visit each of the four locations referred to as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations houses an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade a piece of armor for the player.

Contrary to popular belief, armor is not useless in The Division 2. The truth is that certain armors come with very substantial increases in poison or curse, fire or magical damage reduction, making them extremely useful for certain builds. There are other ways to boost armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor such as the engineer trait that increases armor penetration, or the challenger trait to lower total weight.

Potion

When you put a potion into a stand for brewing, you can unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new level of effects from the potion and can be re-used for more potencies.

The potion also gains an individual color code, which the player can select via /give, and that affects area-of-effect clouds and arrows created by the potions. In Bedrock Edition the custom potion color is also applied to the particle effects of the potions.

The water bottle, mundane and thick potions, as well as difficult potions, now have a new brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness are now available. The addition of lingering potions which can be brewed using splash potions or Dragon breath. Also added is a thick potion which has the status effect Mining Fatigue. Upgrades to this trinket cost a small amount of energy.

The magic of this enchanted scepter appears to influence the dungeon which makes it more likely to create water and grass. At the present time, this trinket increases the overall health of the drinkers of healing, waterskins and wells of health by X%. It also grants vision on enemies within Y tiles.
